Hidden Valley BSA Summer Camp - Week 5 (9th year)

Another year of camp started!  95 degrees and sunny at arrival!  Sweltering, oppressive humidity and heat.  Normal route to Hidden Valley BSA, with stops at Bass Pro Shop and attached mall for lunch.  Checked in on time, and barely squeezed in our swim test prior to first thunder closing aquatics for the evening.  Relax and set up sleeping area at camp until retreat.  Dinner after was roast beef, potatoes, and corn.  Had a huge salad.  Leaders played our first round of rummy and spades while scouts went to opening campfire.  Roses, Thorns, and Buds prior to sleep got cut short by strong winds and threat of storm.  Minor rain and winds throughout night took some of the heat away!  Slept like a log! Both 182 and 133 in good spirits!  Post for Monday activities later today.  More "proof of life" pics later.
